The journey of Nihar Foundation began in 2008 — not as a registered organization, but as a quiet mission of compassion led by Honorable Chairman Hrdpsinh Gohil, affectionately known as Gohilsirji. In the rural corners of Gujarat, he began working tirelessly for the upliftment of the poor, the voiceless, and the neglected. With no banner, office, or funding — just a heart full of empathy — he took small but powerful steps: teaching slum children, providing food to tribal families, and organizing health camps in underserved villages.Over the years, Gohilsirji also extended his support as a donor and advisor to various other NGOs across India and abroad, strengthening missions aligned with his own values of equity, education, and dignity.
His guidance and financial contributions to dozens of grassroots and national organizations enabled them to scale up their impact while he continued building his own direct community efforts in silence. From 2012 to 2020, his initiatives expanded across India, addressing diverse issues — education, women empowerment, disaster relief, skill development, and digital inclusion. By 2021, his humanitarian work extended beyond borders, influencing communities in Asia, Africa, and Latin America through collaborations and global partnerships. After 17 impactful years of selfless service, Nihar Foundation was officially registered as a Section 8 non-profit organization in May 2025. Today, it represents a lifetime commitment — turning compassion into action and purpose into a global platform for social transformation.
